Blizzard of Unique Snowflakes
thingiverse
Introducing a line of 2014 Kickstarter snowflakes; visit https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/laird/snowburst-2014 for backing the project. Create and print unique snowflakes with the help of a snowflake generator that produces 3D geometry, which you can slice and print. Despite OpenSCAD's limitations on recursion and arrays, this innovative code has resulted in an impressive array of features. Eight ready-to-print snowflakes are available for download, with more to come. Help us create a million unique snowflakes! Check out Dave Menninger's Parametric Snowflakes for inspiration, but no code was used from it. Updates include a bash script that generates a 'blizzard' of snowflakes and modifications for proper randomness. Print the STL files using a layer height of 0.25mm or less, with three shells looking best. To generate unique snowflakes in OpenSCAD, change the seed value and export liked ones as STL files. Share photos of your 'blizzard' for all to appreciate!
With this file you will be able to print Blizzard of Unique Snowflakes with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Blizzard of Unique Snowflakes.
