Blitz Bowgun secret money box & stand
myminifactory
This is my custom-made Blitz Bowgun secret money box featuring dual blades stand. The massive game-inspired weapon was scaled down to 622mm long, making it a practical size for storing cash. I designed this to be printed on a compact printer, and all parts were successfully printed on my Lulzbot mini with a build area of 152x152x158. Settings included 0.25mm layer height, 15% infill, 3 outer layers, and 4 top/bottom layers. I chose Rigid.Ink PLA as the material for this project. Simplify3D was used for slicing, and only 3 parts required support, which are marked (support) at the end of each file name. All part files are oriented as printed, with the quantity needed listed in the file name. Check out the exploded diagram and BOM for more details. The parts fit together smoothly, held in place by a small drop of glue securing the handle, while tight tolerances keep the rest of the model secure. This project was a challenging yet enjoyable experience, as I had not painted a model in 20 years and was trying an airbrush for the first time. All parts were drawn in SolidWorks, then exported to Meshmixer to refine the surfaces for a more natural look. The Blitz Bowgun & Stand consist of 65 parts, plus extra dummy mag and bullets, and comes with a woodgrain stencil to aid painting.
