Blister Pack Pill Popper

Blister Pack Pill Popper

thingiverse

The pill popper is designed to make removing small pills from blister packs simpler for those with weak hands or fingers. The maximum size of round pills it can handle is about 6mm, while the larger version accommodates pills up to 10mm in size. When dealing with powdery tablets, it's recommended to break the seal before pushing out the tablet to prevent damaging the pill. The larger version features tiny spikes around the edge that help break the seal on bigger blister packs more easily. For printing, Flexi PLA and Standard PLA work best. After completing a few initial layers in Flexi PLA, switch to Standard PLA for optimal results. Alternatively, you can print the entire design using Flexi PLA or even TPU if you use high infill settings of 60% or more. The models shown were printed with White Flexi PLA at 0.7mm layer height. The printer was paused, and Standard PLA filament was inserted before resuming the print to completion. This assumes a first-layer thickness of 0.3mm and a standard layer height of 0.2mm. On December 14, 2017, updated files - pill_popper_07 and pill_popper_07_LARGE - replaced earlier versions with clearer pins on the foil side and corrected errors from previous mode 06.
