Blinking Christmas tree
thingiverse
Create a mini Christmas tree decoration with flashing lights for your tabletop. The project costs approximately $1 and showcases your 3D printing and electronics skills. This tree has 16 holes to insert 5mm LEDs, space for a circuit and battery inside, and a base switch. The circuit design is provided. Improvements include larger LED holes and fixed overhang issues. Assemble the base and tree top in green or brown ABS, etch your own PCB or get help, and drill 3mm mounting screw holes and 0.8mm other holes. Solder resistors, transistors, capacitors, LED strings, switch, and battery clip according to diagrams. Insert LEDs into tree top holes for a blinking display. Adjust blinking rate by changing resistor or capacitor values.
