Blink Outdoor Camera Mount

I found that the standard mount that came with the Blink Camera make it easy to remove/steal. And since I need to use this as a security camera which can be reached from the ground a more secure mounting method was required. There are four parts to the design. The base, the main body (top), and two straps. The the straps are NOT identical, they are molded to the cameras contour so there is a right and left one. They are bolted into the top at one end and fit into slots on the other end. The base screws in to the ceiling with three screws. The holes are slotted and allow about 20 degree of left/right adjustment if you don't get the placement exactly right the first attempt. The base has a hole in the thread and a space an M3 nut for security (more on this latter). The top mounts to the base by screwing it on. Once on it's not hard to unscrew the top and remove the camera for battery replacement. This also make it easy to steal. Hence there is an opening at the back of the top at the threads for an M3 bolt to fit into and screws into the M3 nut on the base. I use an button head M3 bolt which make it flush and harder see and required an allen key to remove. If your camera is not at risk of theft this can be omitted. The top has two vent holes for circulation. These can be covered with a fine mesh cloth to keep bugs out. This is a fixed 45 degree mount. If you need another angle feel free to remix this design. STEP files can be provided if needed.
