Blinds Roller Shade Chain Guide
thingiverse
I wanted to use a smart motor to control my roller shades. But the chain loop was too long for the motor to be placed in the window sill. I didn't want to cut the chain loop, plus the connector that connects the 2 ends of the chain was too big to pass through the gear of the motor. So I quickly made this chain guide to orient the side of the chain with the connector in a Z pattern and shorten the vertical length of the loop. The tension has to be very tight for my motors to work and the larger bead size of the connector causes it to strain a little bit and make a clicking noise when it goes through the loops, but it does the job well enough to work reliably.
