Blinds Automation - using LinkIt ONE
thingiverse
Automating your blinds is an excellent weekend project that can be completed using the Mediatek LinkIt ONE board and custom 3D printed parts. One of the standout features of the LinkIt ONE board is its built-in WiFi connectivity, making it a perfect choice for this DIY project. To achieve smooth rotation of the blind wand or rod, a continuous rotation servo will be used. Meanwhile, the movement of the blinds can be triggered remotely through a WiFi-based web app hosted directly on the LinkIt ONE via the Arduino code. With this setup, you'll have full control over your automated blinds using your phone, tablet, or computer. Here's a quick video showing my DIY automation project in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ouwZYy_wIE For more detailed information and downloadable code for uploading to the LinkIt ONE board, please refer to Seeed Studio's comprehensive tutorial at http://www.seeedstudio.com/recipe/1082-blinds-automation.html.
