Blind Screw Hanger Insert
thingiverse
An innovative fastener designed for secure wall mounting, allowing the user to discreetly attach objects by inserting a countersunk head screw into the wall to the optimal depth, then seamlessly sliding on the object without exposing screws from the front. Compact door hinge screws provide sufficient holding power to secure the insert in place. To create the corresponding slot in the mating component, utilize a 16mm router bit or end mill. Next, machine a recess of approximately 20mm between centers, extending about 8.5mm deep (the part's depth is 8mm). This versatile insert accommodates countersunk screws with heads less than 9mm in diameter and shanks under 4 mm in diameter. For optimal results, print the insert using ABS material whenever possible. A moderate infill percentage of around 50% along with four top and bottom layers yields a strong and reliable attachment solution.
