Blind Controller Magnetic End Stops
thingiverse
This is an accessory designed to work with a standard blind cord for use as a magnetic end-stop sensor, compatible with Alexa controlled automatic blind controllers.\r\n\r\nThe Blind Controller currently operates up and down blind movements based on pre-set times. However, this method requires patience to set-up and can drift over time, resulting in the blinds overshooting or undershooting their intended stop point.\r\n\r\nTo resolve this issue, I have developed a magnetic sensor that attaches to the accessory slot and only requires two small attachments at either end of the blind cord. In addition to the 3D-printed attachment, you will need:\r\n\r\nMagnetic Sensor Module:\r\nSODIAL(R) Mini Detection Sensor Module for Arduino Magnetic 3.3-5V - A highly sensitive magnetic sensor module that can be used with Arduino boards.\r\n\r\n6mm Diameter x 1mm thick Magnets x 12:\r\nMagnet Expert 6mm dia x 1mm N35 Neodymium Easypeel Adhesive Magnet - 0.33kg Pull (North) - A pack of 20 strong neodymium magnets with a diameter of 6mm and a thickness of 1mm.\r\n\r\nMale 5-5x2.1mm DC Jack:\r\nMagiDeal 5Pairs 12V 5.5x2.1mm Male + Female DC Power Socket Jack Connector Cable - A pack of five male and female DC power socket connectors with a diameter of 5.5mm and a thickness of 2.1mm.\r\n\r\nVisit my website at http://www.cabuu.com for more information.\r\n\r\nA video demonstration of the sensor in action can be found here: https://youtu.be/W8R-BSzm8r0
