Blimp / Zeppelin with Stand
thingiverse
I built a simple 3D printable model of a blimp/zeppelin. I printed this model without supports on my Ender 3 using a 0.6mm nozzle. To get the best results, use a very small layer height for the rotor to allow the overhangs to print smoothly. You can scale down this design quite a bit - but be sure to preview that the fins on the back are still printing in your slicer of choice before you start printing. I printed one version at 100% and another at 35%, both came out fine. The image shows the scaled-down version I printed. Assembling this model is quite easy thanks to the pins. Just apply some glue to the flat ends of the back and front part, then shove in the pins and press them together. The gondola can simply be glued on, while the rotor fits into the back and can either be left loose so it can turn or fixed in place with some glue.
