A study was performed examining a blended wing body (BWB) aircraft powered by liquid hydrogen (LH2). This plane, designed for two-stage-to-orbit (TSTO) payload delivery, could be expanded to accommodate various tasks. The second stage obtains necessary oxygen from an in-flight liquid oxygen collection system (LOX). Hydrogen is sourced via NREL's wind-turbine conversion principle which electrolyzes water (H2O). A volumetric and mass analysis of the orbiter was conducted at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University by Chris Shakal.
