A compact blast gate intended for dust extraction in the wood shop. Designed to be printable on a Prusa i3 MK3, since this print uses almost the entire print bed. The longest part is 236 mm. I designed this to fit different size ducting and hoses. It is loosely based on MisterMJ's design, with the added benefit of a stop for the lid, and a few other design tweaks. Apart from differences in diameter, the "A" parts are identical and can be used in any combination. The blast gates work very well in practice, with a smooth operation, and the lid opens fully. The 148 mm part fits a European 150 mm flexible coiled hose best. The 150/152 mm parts might fit US 6 inch hoses better. The 160 mm part is made to fit inside the fitting of a Swedish 160 mm sewage pipe/drain pipe. I have also made a 100/110 mm blast gate, please see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5821358 Please note: to print a complete blast gate, four parts are required: * Two "A" parts, choose appropriate sizes * The "B" part * The "C" part Six M5 x 15 screws, washers and nuts are required to mount the blast gates. Make sure to place the sliding lid in position before inserting the screws. If the lid slides poorly, a little bit of silicon spray lubricant might help. Enjoy!
