The human body has evolved to withstand a wide range of environmental conditions, from scorching heat to freezing cold. The skin's ability to regulate its own temperature is a remarkable example of this adaptability. When exposed to extreme temperatures, the skin responds by producing sweat or increasing blood flow to the surface. This allows the body to lose excess heat and maintain a stable internal temperature.
