Custom guitar pick made entirely with: MS Paint Inkscape Tinkercad Feeling intimidated by 3D printing is completely unnecessary. You can learn modeling for 3D printing in various ways, just like programmers, graphic artists, or even architects and video game artists do. Your prior experience in another field may even give you a significant head start on 3D modeling for printers. This custom guitar pick model was actually created starting from scratch with only a basic knowledge of MS Paint. If you are new to 3D printing models and want to try something out, create your own version of this guitar pick using your preferred design or simply design a different guitar pick. There are plenty of tutorials and websites online catering specifically to newcomers like yourself. You can try out various software and techniques in designing your model. To exactly replicate my custom steps: 1.Open MS Paint or another simple image editing program. 2.Create a simple yet unique graphic using only 2 colors. 3.Save the .PNG file. 4.Open Inkscape (totally free) and open your just-saved PNG. Click on the embedded image after default option, then Path, then Trace bitmap. Choose color quantization and continue previewing at 2-color increments until you achieve two solid colors. You might need to invert your graphic to change the foreground from background color. 5.Save this as an .SVG file. Visit Tinkercad.com and import your saved SVG file now that it is in Tinkercad you can easily resize it, add or remove other shapes from your model place and manipulate objects, turn negative space and even group models together for greater complexity. When done uploading your work to a website sharing community platform such as Thingiverse
