I had to drill a hole in my ceiling to access a water valve... and then I had to cover it. Overall, the outer plate diameter size is 120mm and the inner hole is 100mm. To make the hole in your ceiling just over 100mm in diameter, that's exactly what you need. This design is specifically made for 3/8" thick drywall (10mm). I've designed this with two options to consider. One option: Use two magnets; one in the center of the wall plate and one in the center of the bar. You can glue them in place or screw them down tight. I used 13mm x 2mm strong magnets for maximum hold. The other option: Use two screws to screw the bar directly to the wall plate and wedge it into the ceiling hole securely. Just keep in mind that this method hasn't been tested yet, so use your best judgment when deciding what to do.
