Blank back for a Katsu Tools dial indicator
thingiverse
I purchased a "Katsu Tools" Dial Indicator from eBay, which features a substantial mounting hole on its rear face that proves less than ideal for securing it to any surface. A more reliable connection can be achieved by crimping something onto the device's stem; however, in this instance, the protruding hole poses an obstacle. Rather than resorting to hacksawing off the plastic mounting hole, I conceived another flat backplate after carefully measuring the existing one.
