The BBC props department used the Friedland bell push button lots on B7. While my other models have a basic printed version than can be used instead of the originals I decided to make a version that was practical.
So I made one that can fit a 6mm tactile switch inside it (6x7mm was the size I used). Its in 3 parts. Button, base and the Button body. The Body should be printed clear/translucent like the originals but my test prints were just in black to get the sizing right.

The Button body will need orienting with the rim down onto your print bed (so rotating 180 degrees or use the Place to face tool if its available in your slicer)

Post-Printing

The tactile switch just press fits into the base. You can then (carefully) solder wires to the legs sticking out the bottom.

The switch button fits into the body from the bottom. There are little tabs to keep it aligned.

Then the base is just glued into place. The tactile switch post fits into the hole in the bottom of the button.

You might need to sand the inside of the body to make it smoother for nice operation and its always best to test fit everything before gluing but the ones I've printed work fine with minimal clean up.

Designed in Blender
