Prehistoric carved boulder sits prominently on private farmland, visible from Hunderthwaite Moor in County Durham. This boulder is one of five carvings clustered together on Blake Hill. According to Stan Beckensall and Tim Laurie's 1998 publication 'Prehistoric Rock of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale', this stone was documented as 'Blake Hill 3' by NADRAP on ERA. The team describes the boulder in detail: Two cups are situated centrally, one well-defined cup alongside a smaller, shallow, and eroded cup. Other depressions near the northern end of the stone appear to be natural pitting marks. Historic England has scheduled this site for preservation: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1016613 ERA records can be accessed here: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=1738 This 3D model was created from two stereo pairs captured by Jeff Lynn of NADRAP Team 5 in July 2007. The imagery is part of the NADRAP / ERA archive deposited with Historic England.
