Bladeless Desk Fan

Bladeless Desk Fan

***UPDATE*** Wow, thanks to everyone for their fantastic support - I'm thrilled that this desk fan has generated so much excitement, especially considering it was my first ever attempt at 3D CAD design! Unfortunately, I haven't been as responsive to people's comments and requests as I'd like, which is why I've uploaded STEP files for the latest iteration of my desk fan. The fan head is now complete, but the 120mm fan base still needs some work, such as testing, and holes for the switch and cord; unfortunately, I have overwritten my original 70mm fan base design. I've also made the design public via Fusion 360, links below: https://a360.co/2JL7sKb https://a360.co/2uUxe9D I needed a new desk fan at work and was just getting started with Fusion 360. I had a spare 70mm computer fan and a 12-volt transformer lying around, so what to do? Make a bladeless fan of course! This fan is super easy to print and assemble - the soldering of wires is about as tough as it gets. Assembly: 1. Mount the computer fan inside the base on top of its support. 2. Feed wires through the hole in the support. 3. Solder fan and transformer wires to a switch (I bought a basic switch from my local electronics store). 4. Insert the Fan Inner into the Fan Outer - no gluing required, it should snap into place and hold. 5. Insert the Fan Inner/Outer into the base - too easy!
