Bladeless 120mm honeycomb fan

I've taken a 120mm PC fan and remixed it into a blade-less design, inspired by this Thingiverse model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1645081. To be honest, I've had mixed results with this project. My first attempt using a 120mm 12V 0.1A DC motor wasn't promising - the airflow was too unsteady to provide enough of a breeze. It ran incredibly quietly at 1500RPM, but that's about it. A silent fan just can't create enough pressure to power a blade-less design effectively. I also tried using the 120mm TurboFan model, which had decent airflow but unfortunately made way too much noise. I couldn't afford to have a fan on my office desk that sounded like a jet taking off - it was just too much! So, I designed a new fan that makes it easy to remove the inner shroud. By doing this, the original super silent fan can provide a wider distribution of airflow if you use it without the inner part. In the end, my silent fan doesn't amplify airflow as much as I'd like, but it's still a nice addition to my desk.
