Blade Torrent prop guards & Roll Cage

Blade Torrent prop guards & Roll Cage

My spin on a 3D printed blade guard for the Blade Torrent 110. I've also designed a roll cage that helps offset some weight gained from this design. Each blade guard weighs roughly 1 gram more than stock blade guards, but they offer one additional support, potentially reducing blade guard changes. The roll cage is approximately 3 grams lighter than the stock canopy, making it a trade-off. I printed these components in PETG upside down from their mounting orientation with supports. I experimented with both orientations and found that printing them upside down yields better results. To secure the video transmitter above the receiver, I used double-sided tape. The original canopy mount holes held the roll cage in place using a 2mm bolt and plastic washer. PETG prints have similar flex to stock blade guards. Blade guard replacements remain possible with motors still attached. Testing is delayed due to a faulty motor that needs replacement.
