The Blade Torrent is a fantastic quadcopter for compact spaces, but one notable drawback is its tendency to rest on its battery when taking off, which can be quite frustrating. In response to this design flaw, I've come up with a solution - a landing gear system specifically tailored for the Blade Torrent. This innovative setup enables the quadcopter to sit securely on sturdy legs instead of relying on its battery, ensuring a smooth and level takeoff every time. During landing, the landing gear provides an added layer of protection for the battery, safeguarding it from potential damage. I utilized TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) to 3D print the landing gear, eliminating the need for supports during the printing process.
