Blade Runner Passive Speaker

Blade Runner Passive Speaker

This wall mountable passive speaker is designed specifically around an iPhone 8 in a case. The opening for the phone measures 78 mm x 14 mm. It will also accommodate similarly sized phones such as a Pixel 2, although the fit is slightly less exact. A dual horn system is featured, one for higher frequencies and another for lower ones. There's also a cutout for phones that don't have a bottom-firing speaker. I printed this design with no supports at all, using an 18% fill rate. There's absolutely nothing to do after printing - it's ready to go right away. Note: This is a large print job, requiring about one-third of a kilogram of filament. Be sure you have plenty of filament on hand and are willing to spend the money or plastic required. I strongly advise against printing this design in any other orientation than the one I used. By rotating mine 45 degrees, I was able to avoid vertical artifacts altogether. It should print just fine as is, with no supports needed - it's hollow inside with some walls and horn components. I ran my cooling system at full capacity, set to 100%.
