We chose the Shun DM7300 kitchen shears as they were highly praised by Cook's Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen enthusiasts. Knowing we would store them in a drawer, it seemed wise to safeguard the blades. Since no protective covering was included, I swiftly created this design. A test piece printed out and revealed how closely the blade shape resembles an elliptical form. The fit is snug, with just a hint of interference so it's unlikely to come loose.
