Blade or anything that needs to be balanced
thingiverse
I had to balance a Nitro engine clutch and fan block for a helicopter. With this thing spinning at an incredible 18,000 RPM, it absolutely requires balancing, especially on a helicopter like mine. Unfortunately, my existing balancer was too small, so I searched online and found a DU-Pro balancer on Ebay that I just had to have. However, the package arrived without the essential spindle, which left me with a problem to solve. I quickly came up with a solution by crafting one myself from scratch. It's essentially a conical thumb screw attached to a rod that passes through it via a 3M grub screw. To get it working properly, you'll need two of these units so the cones will perfectly center in the part being balanced.
