Blade holder for Balsa Cutter
thingiverse
Blade holder designed specifically for use with Harlan-type balsa strippers, this block accommodates cuts up to a maximum size of 2.25x2.25mm and supports rulers as thick as 1/8 inch. To assemble the blade holder, you will need two M3x30 screws, two M3 washers, and two M3x7 threaded inserts. Insert the screws into their designated threads, then thread in the inserts until they make contact with the surface of the block. Subsequently, apply heat from a soldering iron to secure them firmly in place, ensuring a flush finish that prevents any loose or wobbly movement. For enhanced performance and smoother operation, consider adding Teflon tape to the bottom of the blade holder. This will significantly reduce friction and allow for effortless gliding during use. With your blade holder now assembled and ready for action, you're all set to start cutting with confidence!
