Blade Builder - Build Your Own Lightsaber
thingiverse
After discovering 3DPrintingWorld's original design, I decided to start creating my own lightsaber designs from scratch. To make this process easier for others, I'm including the template I use whenever creating a new design. My remixed version breaks down the lightsaber into multiple parts, allowing for mix-and-match customization and reducing the likelihood of failed prints that are all one large piece. This approach also makes it possible to create unique combinations that weren't previously available. The STL files included are for: * Emitter * Switch * Hilt * Pommel Due to my printer's z-limit of 180, I had to adjust the blades provided by 3D printing world so they would fit. You can choose to use these shorter blades or adjust your lightsaber to be larger to accommodate the original blades. I created this template in Tinkercad, as well as all my other designs. This CAD software is extremely easy and straightforward to use, making it perfect for beginners who may find other software challenging. For further design inspiration, I recommend checking out saberforge or Ultrasabers. Have fun creating your own lightsaber designs and posting them for others to see and make! UPDATE 3/31/20 I've included files for a belt attachment as well as a piece that screws into the lightsaber so it can be clipped to one's belt.
