Blade 180 CFX torque tube tip replacement
thingiverse
This is a repair tip for the often-broken 180 CFX helicopter torque tube tip. To begin, simply print this design and ream out the central hole with a precise 1/8" drill bit to achieve a snug fit onto the torque tube shaft. Don't forget to securely install the cross pin, ensuring it stays firmly in place. To ease assembly and minimize hassle later on, carefully smooth the sides of the cross piece that fits into the bevel gears using a needle file, allowing it to slide effortlessly in and out of the gear set. By avoiding too-tight a fit initially, you'll save yourself trouble when inevitably taking apart your helicopter after its next unfortunate crash. Edit: Those fortunate enough to have access to a high-quality resin printer – such as the AnyCubic Photon model I happen to own – will be pleased to find this design prints exceptionally well on their machine.
