Blade 130X U/C Skid set
thingiverse
I'm still learning to fly an RC helicopter and I often struggle with landing safely, especially on grassy surfaces. This skid set is a drop-in replacement for the original one and uses the same mounting method as the factory version. It's noticeably longer, wider, and taller than the stock skids (as you can see from the picture), making it much easier to land smoothly on uneven ground and allowing the helicopter to absorb shocks better when landing roughly - something I've definitely done myself in the past. To print these parts, I lay them flat and use Cura with a 0.2mm layer height and 100% infill density. I printed them with PLA filament and that worked out great for me. The legs fit securely onto the helicopter frame using original mounting screws. However, I did have to tweak the legs slightly so they would fit properly in the slots on the skids and then glued them in place with solvent glue. To prevent the fronts of the skids from digging into the ground during landing, I warmed them up with a heat gun and bent them upwards ever so slightly.
