Blackout Spider Hex Gimbal Mount (Storm32 + MotorPixie Mini Gimbal)

Blackout Spider Hex Gimbal Mount (Storm32 + MotorPixie Mini Gimbal)

thingiverse

I was inspired by using this gimbal on my hex, http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:543822/. I wanted to be able to have a race copter and an option to mount a gimbal very fast with no screws etc... To use this gimbal you need everything from the original gimbal but the "roll motor mount". Just use the attached motor mount (tb_spider_storm32_gimbal.stl) here. You will also need my "Blackout Spider Hex Landing Gear 2", that can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1288262. Note: I used some other motors than the MotorPixie mentioned motors, so if you use these motors: Quanum 2208 Precision Brushless Gimbal Motor (GoPRO size 100-200g), http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__42247__Quanum_2208_Precision_Brushless_Gimbal_Motor_GoPRO_size_100_200g_.html, you will need the attached "gimbal arm long" file, which is a longer version of the original gimbal. With the new updated version, you have to remove the battery plate on the bottom. UPDATE: April 11th 2016: Uploaded a new (higher) Gimbalmount - now you have enough space for landing with gimbal. Storm32 housing added - you need two screws (holes already at the frame) to attach it on the bottom. Please note this is a work in progress, Have fun!
