This prop is a faithful recreation of the Breach Hammer from Blacklight Retribution, meticulously modeled in Fusion 360 after meticulous research on Google images. The model's dimensions are carefully scaled to match the size of the avatar's hand as depicted in game screenshots. The Breach Hammer is a formidable melee weapon that unleashes a devastating 250 damage upon enemy players, albeit with a slower reload time after each use. When employed, this powerful tool sends the player lunging towards their target, much like the Machete. In critical situations, the Breach Hammer can deal an astonishing 3750 damage to a Hard Suit or Scorpion Tank's weakpoint, equivalent to a single hit from an RL Armor Stinger. This makes it an invaluable asset in high-pressure combat scenarios. To effectively utilize the Breach Hammer on these formidable foes, players can temporarily disable them using the Stun Shuriken, Stun Mine Mk.1, or EMP Grenade Mk. 1. These gadgets create a window of opportunity for the player to strike the weakpoint with maximum force. This intricate prop was brought to life through a combination of cutting-edge technology and traditional craftsmanship. It was printed on a Robo3D R1+ using MatterHackers Pro PLA, with a generous 20% infill to ensure structural integrity. To minimize support material and streamline post-production, the parts were carefully designed to feature flat surfaces that can be easily placed on the print bed. Once printed, the components were meticulously assembled using BSI super glue, with seams filled in with Bondo for a seamless finish. A vibrant coat of paint was applied using Duplicolor and Kyrlon paints, adding depth and visual interest to the prop. To complete this project, custom stickers were created on a Silhouette Portrait using vinyl and water slides produced on an inkjet printer.
