Blackhand's Warhammer
myminifactory
I'm a huge fan of Warcraft's epic story and casual player of WoW, so I naturally gravitated towards creating items inspired by that universe. Specifically, my Warhammer was directly influenced by the Blackhand in the Warcraft saga, but it's not a carbon copy - rather, it's an interpretation based on my personal vision of what that iconic hammer looked like. With its striking design and ominous presence, I knew I had to bring this masterpiece to life. As fate would have it, I only had red PETG on hand at the time, which meant the glow had to be a deep reddish or orange hue - a perfect match for Blackhand's warhammer. The result is a truly menacing-looking hammer that exudes power and menace. The Warhammer features two blazing orange LEDs embedded within its striking head, while the handle is designed to accommodate 2 AA batteries, which light up these LED's with ease. There's also ample space above the batteries for resistors and a power switch, cleverly hidden just above the metallic ring on the side of the handle. The hammer head itself is crafted from vibrant red translucent PETG, while the rest of the design is built using sturdy PLA. To add an extra layer of authenticity, I employed Citadel miniature paints to bring the painting and details to life - a perfect finishing touch that elevates this already-impressive piece to new heights.
