Blackboard Transact

The reader's design was intended to be simple yet interesting, suitable for tables, walls, and even hands. LEDs were incorporated to display information such as battery level, Bluetooth status, and transaction status. However, time constraints prevented the completion of additional features, including a stand and charging base, and an item for hand use at events. The device's power status is indicated by a green LED when on and turned off when not in use. Battery charge levels are shown with red LEDs for less than 30%, yellow for between 30% and 60%, and green for over 60%. Bluetooth status is displayed by blue LEDs when active, white during sleep mode. Transactions indicate acceptance with a green light and two beeps, while rejection is signaled by a red light and continuous beeping for two seconds. The device can be turned on or off by pressing the power switch for three seconds. Unfortunately, an error in interpretation led to the development of a reader that only supports NFC technology instead of mag strip readers as originally intended.
