This innovative card reader redefines the look, feel, and perception of traditional devices. Its sleek design distinctly showcases Blackboard's brand identity, making it easily recognizable to users. To ensure durability and comfort, coloured rubber bumpers provide splash and shockproof protection while reducing stress on internal components caused by continuous card swiping. The reader features two buttons for different functions, a bottom micro USB connector, an on/off/pair switch on top for easy accessibility, and Bluetooth pairing capability. Pressing the button for five seconds pairs the device with another via Bluetooth. The battery button activates a front-facing 4 LED feedback system, accompanied by a light strip connected to a multi-color LED that blinks blue during pairing, green upon transaction acceptance, and red when rejected. It accepts both NFC and Magstripe transactions. The base allows for simple mounting in various positions, including wall attachment, with a cable routing hole for the device's plugged-in version. The assembly is straightforward and space-efficient, as the PCB accommodates a centrally positioned battery, minimizing the device's footprint.
