This unit's body, designed for straight-pull injection molding, features two halves and a slim profile that fits on door mullions with two rear keyholes. The back houses speaker openings to direct sound towards users by bouncing it off walls. Keys are concave for tactile feedback and to assist visually impaired individuals; they're also recessed for rain protection, security, and light placement under the top overhang. Lighting options include LED projections onto keys or backlit keys, with a Keyshot-simulated lighting demonstration submitted. Projected lighting offers better key visibility and highlights the unit's interior edge. The indicator LED is located at the bottom, changing color based on status: green for entry, red for no entry, blue for inactivity, and white for clearing. A mag strip reader is positioned on the right side, while a contactless reader resides behind the front's LED ring, with a concave area inside the ring to aid visually impaired users locate cards.
