Black Widow Spider for Halloween
thingiverse
A flexible Black Widow spider is crafted via 3D printing with Black and Red NinjaFlex. The spider's legs are designed to dangle and wiggle when lowered from a string, thanks to its flexible nature. Two holes accommodate red LEDs that shine through the translucent red NinjaFlex, creating an eerie glow. At full scale, the spider measures 10cm across its legs. The LEDs are wired in series and connected directly to a 3.7 LiPo battery for up to 48 hours of operation from a single 18650 battery. Interestingly, when printed directly on clean glass with NinjaFlex, the spider can stick to windows like reusable vinyl stickers. The required NinjaFlex filament is available at http://www.fennerdrives.com/3D. For printing, use a Mendel 90 with NinjaFlex Flexible TPE Urethane in Black and Red, an extruder temperature of 215°C, no bed temperature, fan speed or retraction, layer height of 0.20mm, two solid top and bottom layers, two perimeters, 50% infill, honeycomb pattern with a 120-degree angle, brim and support off, and a lift off.
