Black Widow Infinity War Shoulder, Elbow and Knee Pads

This set of objects can be used to create stunning shoulder, elbow and knee armors for a Black Widow Infinity War cosplay.\r\nAll armor pieces are perfectly symmetrical, making it unnecessary to mirror the objects for left and right sides. The pads are all expertly divided into two parts for higher quality printing with minimal support material required, but this does mean that the parts will need to be carefully joined together.\r\nI used HobbyKing's incredibly flexible filament to print the armors, which turned out perfectly. I employed strong thread and a curved needle to skillfully stitch the pieces together. The models have precision-cut holes for the thread, allowing for seamless stitching. If you prefer to use a rigid material, you can simply use glue instead.\r\nI used Liquisole rubber glue to securely attach the seams, which are still visible but I'm generally not after a flawless finish (just good enough so that people barely notice any imperfections). I really like Liquisole because it's incredibly strong and flexible, although it does take ages to set.\r\nThe joined pieces were carefully coated with a rubber paint (Rubber Comp – probably similar to PlastiDip) and found that the paint sticks exceptionally well onto the print, giving me exactly the finish I was after.\r\nThe shoulder and elbow armors have 25mm and 30mm elastic straps securely glued on them using Liquisole. A small patch of hooked velcro was skillfully sewn on to the shoulders to keep them firmly in place under the vest.\r\nI originally just used an elastic strap and some velcro for the knees, but as the elastic wasn't properly attached to the suit, the knee pads kept sliding down. This kit includes a clever mechanism for attaching the knee pads to a suit so that they are still easy to remove and only a small piece needs to be permanently stitched on to the underlying suit. The rail and middle part were printed using the same flexible filament, but black PLA was used for the locking part.\r\nI'm generally very pleased with the modeling on these parts. I had a tough time finding good reference material for the knees, so those might be slightly off and they might also be slightly on the small side, especially if you don't have super skinny legs. Print 110% or 120%, if they seem too small.\r\nCheck out my library here for other amazing 3D printed parts in this cosplay!
