Delta wing type slope soarer somewhat inspired by enigmatic stealth aircraft.This was a plane I designed in the late 80's that flew flawlessly from my very first drafts [you're welcome to doubt it, but those days I actually needed large drafting tables to get things done]. Check out how robust and resilient its thick root section is; it soars steadily even at low speeds while maintaining a thrilling roll rate. Originally crafted with fiberglass, the wing used Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) as its base material topped with a 0.6mm layer of fine Sapele Mahogany veneer, held firmly in place using latex adhesive and an array of flat plastic spreaders.This latest iteration has been rebuilt from the ground up using solidworks and re-imagines my old plane using salvaged parts, upgrading the Fuselage to thick 3mm corrugated plastic through the sheet metal design feature while retaining EPS for the wing core; the only changes made now is the wrapping with layers of brown paper sealed with Aliphatic resin adhesive.The real kicker here is how this re-invented slope soarer has brought endless joy to its creators, it truly lives up to the definition of FUN.
