This revamped, scaled version of the Black Nightmare Puzzle Box can be utilized as a gift box, desk toy, or even to temporarily hide an engagement ring until the marriage proposal. The puzzle box STL contains all required parts for its construction. If you wish to modify the box size (currently 41mm square), download the zipped file which includes individual STL files. Each individual STL print requires the following BOM: Back Panel - 1, Front Panel - 1, Inner Box - 1, Inner Top Slider - 2, Inner Bottom Slider - 2, Middle Top - 2, Middle Bottom - 2, Outer Sliders - 4, Top/Bottom Panel C/D - 2, Top Panel A - 1, Top Panel B - 1, Top Panel E - 2, Bottom Panel A - 1, Bottom Panel B - 1, Left/Right Panel C/D - 2, Left Panel A - 1, Left Panel B - 1, Right Panel A - 1, and Right Panel B - 1. This design is based on the Black Nightmare plans found here (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bruce.viney/Black%20Nightmare%20Plans.pdf). The box scale has been reduced by half and certain dimensions adjusted for smoother moving parts. Depending on your printer's accuracy, additional sanding or filing might be required. Note that the current design features slim tabs (1mm width) and varying heights (1.8mm-2.0mm). If you use a larger nozzle/layer height, consider scaling up the print. Always test fit all parts before gluing to avoid breaking them.
