A powerful Black Lives Matter street mural was unveiled in St. Petersburg, Florida just a few weeks ago. The city's mayor and deputy mayor were approached by local artist and City Council member Lisa Wheeler Bowman, who successfully campaigned for the project to be greenlit and fully funded. The massive undertaking required coordination between the City of St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, producers of the Shine Mural Festival. Their joint effort brought together a team of talented artists and volunteers to bring this important mural to life.
