Black House Spider Fixed to not levitate
thingiverse
This is just the source model fixed to prevent hovering off the build plate, which caused the skirt to print inside the legs and the legs to fail to stick properly to the plate. No adjustments are necessary for bed temperature once printing actually occurs on the plate. A lower 55c setting worked perfectly. Great design! Thanks! EDIT: To shape the legs easily and stress-free, try boiling a cup of water, then carefully pick up a spider from above using pliers and dip it in for 5 seconds. Remove it quickly, position the legs, and you're done. The small amount of plastic involved cannot retain enough heat to cause injury, so you won't burn yourself. You can re-dip as needed when the spider cools down, taking your time to achieve the desired shape. I managed to shape a dozen spiders before the water even cooled enough to require reheating.
