From the moment I laid eyes on the picture of Black Hole M87, I was determined to bring it to life in three dimensions using Cura! A while back, I discovered that Cura is capable of opening a .jpg file and utilizing its color contrast to create an extruded 3D image. You can choose which areas to raise, adjust smoothing, and dimensions to your liking. Once you're satisfied with the settings, you can slice it and start printing! I've included the original .jpg file here for you to experiment with or download the .stl and print it as is.
