Black Holes are mysterious voids in space where not even light can escape once it gets too close. They have such a strong gravitational pull that nothing, including stars, planets, and spaceships, can break free from their grasp. The point of no return around a black hole is called the event horizon. Once something crosses this boundary, it's trapped forever, unable to send any information back to the outside universe. Black holes are formed when massive stars collapse in on themselves. They're created when the star runs out of fuel and can no longer support its own weight, causing it to implode under its own gravity. The size of a black hole is directly related to the mass of the star that created it. More massive stars produce more massive black holes. Some black holes are small enough to be contained within a single point, while others are so large they stretch across millions of light-years. Despite their mysterious nature, scientists have made significant progress in understanding black holes over the past few decades. They've discovered that black holes can actually distort space-time around them, causing strange effects on nearby objects. Research continues into the mysteries of black holes, and scientists hope to one day uncover more secrets about these cosmic phenomena.
