This intricately carved boulder is situated privately near Cottingley in Bradford, measuring approximately 1.5m x 0.6m in size. Located just a few meters northeast of the largest stone within this cluster of carvings, it features an expansive broad cup encircled by two irregular rings at its apex. An additional cup within an irregular ring and a cup nestled in a large natural depression may also be present. Initially documented in 1976, this carving was one of five carvings listed in Historic England's scheduling (only four are believed to exist): https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1018817. The carving did not appear in Boughey & Vickerman's 2003 publication 'Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding', but was later included as reference IAG4b. Due to its location outside the area covered by the CSI: Rombalds Moor Project, this carving does not have an ERA record. A model of this carving was created from nine photographs taken during research for an English Heritage publication on SfM technologies in April 2009. For optimal viewing, use Matcap.
