Black Edition Water Pipe with Quad Pull Matrix & Ice Cube Tray I used Protopasta black matte for the stem (.2mm or .25mm LH) and Aluminium filled PLA for the bowl (.3mm LH). This water pipe requires a 14mm bowl. 3D Printing Settings: Retraction settings: - Only retract when crossing open spaces. - Minimum travel for retraction: 6mm. - Perform retraction during wipe. I did not use "Avoid crossing outline for travel movements" because it doesn't print well, especially along the start line or seam. To get a good seam, select "Choose start point closest to specific location" and rotate parts in your slicer until the seam is down the back of the part(s). The bowl may leak eventually if not coated on the inside. To coat the bowl: - Use Varathane Diamond Wood Finish - Interior Water based poly. I think it cost $9.00 CDN. - Alternatively, use Art Resin for Food Safe, BPA free, and 0 VOC. It's a bit more expensive to purchase. Assembly: - Sand with 300 grit sandpaper just to rough up the contact points and use non-toxic glue. I used Weldbond Adhesive, 420-mL. - Also, sand the inside of the bowl before applying coating.
