Finally! Asta's Demon-Dweller Slayer (Shukuma no Tsurugi) sword from the Black Clover anime series is complete, and I'm thrilled to share it with fellow fans. This second attempt at creating this iconic sword was a labor of love, with a focus on accuracy and proportion. The 3-foot threaded rod that makes up its core is almost perfectly sized for Asta's age in the show, making it an impressive replica. If you're familiar with the Black Clover anime series, you know what to expect from this model. For those new to the franchise, let me give you a brief rundown: Asta is the main protagonist who, despite being unable to wield magic, obtains the powerful Demon-Dweller Slayer sword that can absorb and counter any magical attack. This remarkable sword stores its absorbed magic within its 5-leaf grimoire, allowing Asta to unleash devastating counterattacks. This model features five segments of approximately 200mm each, ensuring a manageable print time. The files include two blade tops: one with a blunt tip for safer handling and another with a sharp edge for the more adventurous. I've also included pictures of my previous version (v1) for comparison, showcasing minor design changes in the guard. The sword's stability is ensured by 5/16" tube pieces between each segment, while cutouts at the pommel and handle ends allow for secure attachment using 1/4"x20 nuts. You can use either rods or tubes for added support, but I opted for tubes due to their lighter weight. For those interested in replicating this model, please note that it's designed to fit around hardware from my local Orange Box hardware store. Specifically, you'll need 1/4"x20 coupling nuts and a 3-foot 1/4"x20 threaded rod to assemble the sword.
