The Black Beast of Aaaaaargghh was an unforgettable character in the classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This gigantic animated monster made its home near the cave wall where the location of the grail was scribbled on a stone tablet. Contrary to its ominous name, the beast itself was actually a brilliant green color, not black as one might expect. When King Arthur, his brave knights, and Brother Maynard ventured into the cave and read the ancient script, the beast suddenly sprang to life, attacked the knights with ferocity, and devoured poor Brother Maynard in an instant. The knights fled in terror, but the beast pursued them relentlessly, and just when it seemed as though the beast was about to deliver the final blow, its animator suffered a heart attack, ending both the creature's life and the terror that gripped the land. The irony of the beast's title is undeniable - despite its fearsome name, this creature was actually a laughably ugly green monster.
