Black and Decker 14.4v to 18v battery adapter/extender
thingiverse
I picked up a thrift store Black and Decker small circle saw that turned out to be a 14.4v, not an 18v like my drill and weed wacker use! The only physical difference I noticed was a small pin on the battery - just Dremel it off! And if you're using a longer battery, you'll need a longer latch. You can simply glue this to the end of your 14.4v device and let an 18v battery slide in and lock like normal. Beware: You're putting an 18v battery into a device designed for 14.4v! This will reduce its lifespan and might cause it to burn out prematurely! For me, this isn't a big deal since I got the saw cheap and only need it for a few odd projects. When printing, use decent walls as these devices tend to shake around! You may also need internal support to ensure your rails are printed correctly.
