The BL Touch probe needs to be placed 2.5 millimeters above the nozzle tip and precisely 8.5 millimeters away from the base of the sensor to the nozzle tip. This custom block is designed with a thickness of 6 millimeters, featuring an upper block that measures 8.5 millimeters in height. By employing this design, users can effortlessly park the nozzle tip on the lower surface and fine-tune the stowed BL Touch probe until it makes contact with the upper block. To verify the flatness of the probe's surface at a distance of 8.5 millimeters, simply set your nozzle to 0.1 millimeter above normal height and you should observe a clearance of 0.1 millimeter between the upper surface and the flat of the probe. This clever calibration block is remarkably straightforward yet remarkably effective.
