BL-Touch Mount for RailCore2
thingiverse
Mount the BL-Touch to the standard Railcore 2 Y-carriage by attaching it firmly. Print the model solidly using PETG or PLA material. The print-in-place support is included for captured nut blocks, but you'll need to drill them out after printing. This support is designed to be 0.2mm high, making it suitable for use with 0.2 mm layer heights. The BL-Touch is specifically designed for use with the m2.5 nuts provided in the kit. For current iteration compatibility with an E3D V6 hot-end, slightly longer m2.5 screws are required to clear the nozzle. I recommend using m2.5x25 mm screws. To assemble the model, start by mounting and tightening the Y-carriage screws first. Next, attach the BL-Touch using springs to create an adjustable mount. Place the springs between the BL-Touch and the mount for proper alignment. Then, adjust the left-right tilt by tightening or loosening one side, and overall height by changing both screws together. A few minor improvements are needed: nut captures could be deeper and tighter, and a guide is necessary to keep screws vertically aligned. The current design allows too much Y-axis tilt, but it still functions properly when probing.
